You can still make a delicious and healthy dish with vegetables even if it’s simple. Just like this yummy green beans recipe by Smokin’ & Grillin with AB on YouTube! This classic Southern food is sure to lift your mood in an instant. What makes this even better is that you don’t need any complicated ingredients or spend a lot of time just preparing this. Most of what you’ll be needing to make this might already be available in your kitchen.
Step 1
Cut the beef bacon slices into smaller pieces, then place a pot on a stove over medium-high heat, and cook the bacon until nice and crispy. Once cooked, transfer the bacon pieces to a plate or bowl lined with paper towels to drain off the excess oil, then using the same pan and the rendered grease of the bacon, cook the chopped onions, and reduce the heat setting to medium. Chop the potatoes into quarters, then add them to the onions, and give them a good stir.

Step 2
Season them with sugar, salt, pepper, and creole seasoning, then stir them all together until well mixed, and add the minced garlic and butter. Snap the beans in half or small pieces, then add them to the potatoes, and stir until combined. Now, add the cooked bacon pieces, then pour the broth or use bouillion dissolved in water, and mix them well. Cover the pot, then bring it to a boil, give it a good mix, then cover with the lid again, and let it simmer. Taste and adjust the flavor as needed, then serve, and enjoy!
