Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the water, milk, egg, and melted butter, then break the yolk, and stir them all together to combine. Add the instant yeast, then give them a quick stir, and add the all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt. Continue to mix them together until dough forms, then leave it uncovered for about 20 minutes, and then sprinkle some flour over it before transferring it to a clean counter. Knead the dough for about 7 minutes until smooth and elastic, sprinkle more flour if it gets sticky, then form it into an oiled bowl, and cover it with plastic wrap.

Step 2
Set it aside and let it rest for about 1 hour or until double in size, then after an hour, degas the dough, and flatten it out. Roll the dough over, then place it in a 7×4 inch loaf pan greased and lined with parchment paper, and then set it aside in a warm place uncovered for about 30 minutes or until double in size. Mix together the egg and milk, then brush it all over the top of the dough, then put it in a preheated oven, and let it bake at 180°C or 356°F for about 25 minutes. Once done baking, let it cool down for a bit, then unmold it upside down, and slice it to your preferred thickness.
