This easy slow-cooker mozzarella-stuffed meatballs and sauce recipe by Tasty will surely be on your weekly rotation! The flavors are incredible. Ingredients
For the sauce:
- 7 cups crushed tomato
- 1/3 cup of onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
- 2 teaspoons of dried basil
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
For the meatballs:
- 1 pound beef
- 1 pound mild sausage
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup of onion (chopped)
- 1/4 cup of parmesan
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 2 eggs
- 4 mozzarella cheese sticks (cut into 4 to 5 even pieces each)
Others:
- cooked pasta
- cheese for garnish

Instructions
Step 1:
Add all sauce ingredients to the slow cooker and mix well.
Step 2:
Set the settings to high and cover with the lid while you make the meatballs for about 30 minutes.
Step 3:
In a large bowl, add meatball ingredients except for the mozzarella. Mix everything well with your hands.
Step 4:
Take a golf ball-sized piece of the ground beef mixture and put a piece of mozzarella in the middle. Press the meat around the cheese and fully enclose it. Repeat with the remaining meat mixture.
Note: To add more flavor and color to your meatballs, you can sear them until they are golden brown on the outside before adding them to the sauce
Step 5:
Add the meatballs to the slow cooker and submerge them in the sauce.
Step 6:
Cover it with the lid and cook it on high for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the meat is fully cooked.
Step 7:
Serve it over cooked pasta and garnish with more cheese on top. Enjoy!
