Ingredients:

  • 4 lb of chicken drumsticks
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 & 1/2 cups of bbq sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • a handful of fresh basil (about 3 tbsp chopped)
  • 3 bay leaves

Directions:

Step 1

Put your 4 lb drumsticks into your slow cooker, then add one medium diced onion, 4 cloves of minced garlic, 1 & 1/2 cups of bbq sauce, 1 tbsp of brown sugar, salt and black pepper to taste, 1 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tbsp of paprika, and 2 tsp of dijon mustard. Now, go ahead and use your hands to mix everything together. (You can also use tongs to mix them if you prefer.)

Step 2

Once everything is mixed, grab a handful of fresh basil and toss it all over your chicken for a touch of freshness. Lastly, add 3 dried bay leaves. Cover your slow cooker with its lid and set it for six hours.
