Ingredients:

  • 1 & 1/2 lb chicken breasts (cubed)
  • 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 10.5 oz can cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup of water
  • 14 & 1/2 oz can chicken broth
  • 2 carrots (sliced, about 2 cups after being sliced)
  • 2 -3 celery ribs (sliced, about 2 cups after being sliced)
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
  • 16.3 oz Pillsbury grand biscuits, 8 biscuit-sized can
  • more thyme and pepper for the top of biscuits

Directions:

Step 1

Add the chopped chicken breasts, celery, onion, and carrots into the slow cooker. Add 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup, 10.5 oz of celery soup, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp thyme, 14 & 1/2 oz can chicken broth, and 1 cup water. Mix it all together to combine. Put the lid on and cook for four hours on high or eight hours on low.

Step 2

Next, cut the biscuits into quarters. After the cooking time is up, add frozen peas into the slow cooker and give it a quick stir. (Frozen peas are optional.) Add the quartered biscuits over the top and sprinkle some thyme and pepper. Cover with lid and cook on high for 45 minutes more.
