  • 6 garlic cloves (peeled and minced)
  • 1 (12 oz) can of beer
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 4 celery stalks (cut into 1/2 in slices)

  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can of stewed tomatoes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup regular molasses
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt and ground black pepper (to taste)

Directions:

Step 1

Season the beef roast with salt and pepper. In a pan, put some oil, then place the beef roast with the seasoned side down. While it’s cooking, season the other side of the beef roast. Flip it to cook the other side. (Make sure to brown all sides evenly.) After browning the meat, set it aside. Next, in the same pan, add the chopped onions. Saute until soft then add the garlic. Mix them, then put them in a big bowl and set them aside.
