One thing I love about skillet is that they make any dish ten times better than it already is. I love preparing dinner using it and one of my favorite recipes would be, Cooking With Claudia‘s stir-fried beef and broccoli!
Sauce
Step 1
Cut the flank steak across the grain, this way they get tender when cooked. Then, put them in a large mixing bowl, add in the soy sauce and cornstarch, and mix them together until incorporated, then set them aside. Heat some oil in a pan over medium-high heat, then once the oil is hot enough, you can add in the meat. Arrange them in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden brown, after that, go ahead and toss the meat together and cook for about 1 more minute until it is no longer pink, but remember to not overcook the meat, otherwise, it’ll get dry and chewy.

Step 2
Remove the meat from the pan and set it aside, then using the same pan, add in more oil, and saute the onion until it becomes translucent. Once the onion is done cooking, you can add the broccoli, and cook them for about 3 minutes. While that’s cooking, prepare a bowl of beef stock, then add in the soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and cornstarch, then whisk them together until well combined. Pour and transfer this sauce mixture to the pan as soon as the broccoli is cooked, then add in the cooked steak as well and mix everything, cook them for 3 minutes to let the sauce thicken. Serve with rice or noodles on the side.
