Ingredients:

  • 2 steaks @ 2 inches thick, thawed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 ounces mushrooms, quartered
  • ½ pound asparagus, trimmed
  • Additional salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, peppers, onion powder, and garlic powder until combined, then make sure to let the steaks sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, and sprinkle the seasoning mixture all over the steaks. Rub them well on both sides and set them aside, then trim the stalks of the asparagus, and quarter the mushrooms.

Step 2

Preheat your oven to 375°F, then place a heavy oven-safe skillet pan on a stove over high heat, and let it heat up until smoking. Next, add a tablespoon of canola oil and a tablespoon of butter, then place the steaks, and sear them for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Transfer the seared steaks onto a plate, then set them aside, and add the remaining butter to the same pan.

Step 3

Now, add the asparagus and mushrooms, and season them with salt and pepper to taste. Toss them together and cook them over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes, then push them to the side, and place the cooked steaks on the space nicely. turn off the heat, then place the pan in the preheated oven, and allow them to continue cooking for about 10 to 15 more minutes. Serve and enjoy!
