This is also a perfect last-minute holiday or dinner recipe idea if you don’t have enough time to prepare. Plus, the instructions and steps to making this veggie goodness are very simple and easy to follow even if you’re a beginner cook. So, don’t worry about messing this up and tweak the ingredients to your preference by adding ham, turkey, chicken, or other veggies to it, leftover works, too.
Preheat your oven to 400°F, then clean the green beans, and cut off their ends. Make sure the green beans are patted dry, then place them in a shallow baking dish or skillet pan. Pour the heavy cream over the beans, then scatter the garlic slices all over the top, and add in the lemon zest.
Season them with salt and red pepper flakes, give them a good mix, then sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan until almost covered or as much as you like, and place the baking dish or skillet in the preheated oven.
Allow the green beans to bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the beans are tender and the cheese has melted. If desired, you can also broil it until the cheese is nice and brown, then garnish it with more parmesan, and serve. Enjoy!
