Here’s a quick and easy quilt project idea that you can make for your precious loved one using only 2 flannel fabrics with the help of this video tutorial by The Sewing Room Channel on YouTube! Learn how now and try making this quilt today.
Step 1
Fold the fabric in half and bring the selvage edges together as much as possible, then do the same with the other fabric, and lay them on top of each other making sure they are lined up nicely. Cut them out into 40 inches square, then unfold both fabrics laying them together as shown in the video, and take your time to smooth them out. Fold them in half, then place pins all along the folded edges, and stitch them all the way across with a ¾-inch seam allowance. Unfold the fabric, then bring the raw edge of one side towards the center seam, pin along the fold, and stitch all the way across with a ¾-inch seam allowance.

Step 2
Repeat the same steps on the other side of the fabric, then trim their folded and stitched edges to ½ inches, unfold them, and fold them again in half the opposite way. Now, simply repeat the same process that you did previously, but this time, make sure that the previous seams are always stitched open, and then proceed to trim the new folded seams to ½ inches. Once done, stitch all the way around the edges of the whole quilt as demonstrated in the video, then cut the seams into ¼ inches, and fluff them up in the washing machine. Wash and dry the quilt, then make sure to clean out your lint trap to avoid clogging, and you’re done!
