If you need a recipe to make that is super simple and quick to share with your family, then I highly recommend that you give this a try. You can use leftover ingredients or adjust the seasoning to your preference, especially if you like your food a bit spicy.
Shrimp
Pasta
Step 1
Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning and black pepper, then give them a good mix until evenly coated, and then set them aside to let the shrimp marinate. Prepare the sausage, onion, and garlic, then set them aside, and then cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
Step 2
Once the pasta is done cooking, drain off the excess water, then place a large skillet on a stove over medium-high heat, and preheat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the shrimp, then cook them for about 2 to 4 minutes until no longer pink and cooked through, and make sure to flip them halfway through.
Step 3
Transfer them to a plate and set them aside, then in the same pan, add the brown sausage, and cook it for about 4 to 5 minutes or until brown and caramelized. Remove the sausages and set them aside on a plate, then add the more olive oil before adding in the onions, garlic, and thyme, and saute them for 5 minutes until fragrant and softened.
Step 4
Pour in the chicken broth and cream, then add in the crushed tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce, and stir them until well combined. Bring it to a simmer, then scrape any browned bits from the pan, and season the sauce with Cajun seasoning, granulated white sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
Step 5
Give them a good stir, then let it simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes, and then add the parmesan cheese. Stir them occasionally and cook them for another 5 minutes until the cheese has melted and the sauce is combined, then add the cooked pasta and sausage, and carefully mix them together.
Step 6
Let them cook for about 2 to 3 more minutes until heated through, then add the shrimp, stir well, and turn off the heat. Remove the pan from the stove, then garnish with parsley, cracked black pepper, and more parmesan cheese, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
