This is one of my favorite projects of all time and is a pattern I enjoy making, you can mix and match any pattern or color that you want to make a different style or a version of your own. Cut the 1 white fabric into 3.5 inches square, then 8 fabric scraps onto 2×5 inches strips, 4 fabric scraps at 5 inches square, and 8 white squares at 2×2 inches. Line the back of the smaller white squares diagonally from corner to corner, then place those squares on the top of each print strip with their right sides facing, and make sure that 4 of the lines of the squares are facing the same direction and 4 of them facing the opposite. Stitch along the line, then trim off the excess layers ¼ inch away from the stitching line and press the seams toward the darker fabric. Lay out the block units and arrange them as shown in the video, then stitch the strips by pair first, and stitch them per row. Lastly, stitch the rows to each other and make sure to press the seams as you go.
