Take one piece each of F and D. Place them right side together and draw a diagonal line from corner to corner. Take it to the sewing machine and stitch a quarter of an inch on each side of the diagonal line. Once done, cut along that line. Do the same process with the remaining 2 pieces. You’ll have 4 squares. Trim off the excess threads. Open them and press the seams toward the sky.
Layout the sail blocks. Place the 4 blocks to form a big square with the white triangles on the bottom right corners to make the sails. Once done, place the two pieces of C on both sides as the sky. Sew the square fabrics first then attach the two light blue strips.
Take fabrics B and C. Draw a diagonal line on both of the wrong sides of the square fabrics. Place them on the ends of the red strip right sides together. The lines should be slanting down toward the center. Sew right on the diagonal lines. Cut off without a quarter of an inch on the lower part of the diagonal line. Open it up and press on both sides.
Place the blue strip (A) on the red block right sides together then sew. Lastly, sew the bottom part to the top part. The block is done!
