I have always loved incorporating rum or whiskey in dishes because they make any food extra delicious, but rum in a dessert hits differently! It is so creamy and flavorful that you just can’t get enough of it, ever since I learned this recipe by RecipeTin Eats on YouTube I have been making this ice cream flavor more often, and my family sure loves it too. We always eat this after a hearty and savory meal and it perfectly balances all of the tastes. You should definitely give this a try as well.
Rum-Soaked Raisins
Ice Cream
Step 1
First off, roughly chop the raisins, then place a small saucepan on a stove over medium-high heat, and heat up the rum before adding the raisins. Remove from the heat, then let the raisins soak for about 30 minutes until most of the rum has been absorbed, and pour off the excess. In a mixing bowl, add the condensed milk, rum, vanilla, and all-spice, then beat them lightly until combined, and stir in the soaked raisins until incorporated.

Step 2
In a separate large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream over high speed for about 2½ to 3 minutes until stiff peaks form. Fold in a cup of the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture, then once combined, pour all of it into the remaining cream, and gently fold them together until smooth. Put it inside the freezer for about 12 hours while covered with a lid or cling wrap, then scoop, serve, and enjoy!
