Ingredients:

  • Large garlic bulbs
  • Olive or avocado oil
  • Salt, optional

Directions:

Step 1

The first thing that you have to do is to cut the stems off of each garlic bulb about a quarter inch down into the bulb until you see the cloves. Place a garlic bulb on the center of a sheet of foil, then drizzle some oil all over the top of the bulb, and sprinkle some salt to taste if you like. Loosely wrap the foil around the garlic bulb, then repeat with the rest of the garlic bulbs, and place them in a baking pan. Put them in a preheated oven at 400 degrees and let them roast for about 35 to 45 minutes (bake small to medium bulbs for about 35 to 40 minutes and medium to large bulbs for about 40 to 45 minutes).

Step 2

Once done roasting, remove them from the oven, then open up the foil, and allow them to cool for about 10 minutes or more until they are cool to the touch. After cooling down, start squeezing each clove out of the skin of the bulb, then transfer the cloves into a mason jar, and pour some more oil on them. Cover the jar with its lid tightly, then refrigerate them for up to 2 weeks or longer in the freezer, serve and enjoy whenever you want.
