Stack the squares together with the colored squares on the bottom. All should face right side up.
On one corner, mark a half inch to the side and up. On the opposite corner, make some marks that are 3/4″ away along the top and bottom edges.
Connect the marks that you made and cut through that two lines.
Take the two top background fabrics and place them underneath the colored ones.
Take the first two side pieces and the center piece. Place them right sides together and sew with a quarter of an inch seam allowance. Do the same for the remaining pieces. Press on the dark side.
Trim all the blocks into 7″ squares.
Arrange your four blocks to form a daisy shape. Sew them together. Press the seams towards the dark colors.
Cut a small circle on the cardboard. Next, cut a circle half an inch bigger than the round cardboard on the solid-colored fabric. Stitch a running stitch around the circle fabric, place the round cardboard in the middle and pull the thread tightly. Finish with stitches sewn close together, iron it, and let it cool down. Remove the cardboard once cooled. Find the center and sew on your block.
Place the backing square on the bottom of the block, followed by the batting square. Mark a line from corner to corner, then on the center of each petal and background. Quilt the lines.
