Pumpkin Earthquake Cake Recipe

With the help of my favorite youtuber Catherine’s Plates, everything is made easier. You can make and bake this recipe for guests, for holidays or even if you just feel like having a tasty treat during the fall. This dish is really good and what’s even better is that you can always try making this and incorporate your own take of the recipe. Make a twist to your own liking and enjoy your very own pumpkin earthquake cake!

Ingredients:

• 1 box (15.25 oz) spice cake mix
• 3 large eggs
• 1 can (15 oz) 100% pure pumpkin
• 3/4 cup milk
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 1/3 cup white sugar, granulated
• 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Cream Cheese Mixture

• 8 0z cream cheese
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
• 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Step 1: 

In a mixing bowl, pour in your spice cake mix, egg, granulated sugar, melted butter, pumpkin pie spice and 100% pure pumpkin together. Whisk and blend the ingredients together until they are nice, smooth and well incorporated.

Step 2: 

In a 9×13 baking dish, or whatever baking dish you have available, pour your cake batter in and smooth it out.

Step 3: 

Now, for the Cream Cheese Mixture.  In a large bowl, put the cream cheese and melted butter. Using an electric hand mixer in low setting, mix the ingredients together and gradually increase the setting while putting 1/2 cup of powdered sugar at a time.

Step 4: 

Take your cream cheese mixture and put it on top of the cake batter. Using a knife, make nice swirls lightly. Sprinkle with white chocolate chip and semi sweet chocolate chip.

Step 5: 

Bake it in the oven for 30-35 minutes and your done.
