I’ve been searching for a delicious recipe that I can try to recreate at home and share with my family. That’s when I stumbled upon this video tutorial by Camirra’s Kitchen on YouTube and I was immediately interested! It looks amazing and the instructions are very detailed and helpful in making the perfect dough, but most of all, it tastes just as yummy as it looks, and I can’t get enough of it.

Ingredients:

  • 450 grams or about 3½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet or 2¼ tsp of instant yeast
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 4 tsp of sugar
  • 1⅓ cups of warm water, temperature should be between 100-110°F
  • ¼ cup of parmesan cheese
  • 8-10 ounces or 1-1¼ cups of Mozzarella cheese, Italian mix cheese, or Cheddar

Creamy Garlic Butter

  • 1½ tbsp of cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 5-10 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp of dry ranch powder or a mix of Italian herbs and crushed red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add flour, instant yeast, and salt, then whisk them all together until well combined, and set them aside. Heat up the water in the microwave for about 30 seconds, then transfer it to a bowl, and add in the sugar and oil. Make sure to check the temperature every now and then accurately as instructed in the video, then stir them all together until combined, and gradually add the flour mixture making sure to whisk in between each addition until incorporated.

Step 2

When you add the remaining flour mixture, switch to using a wooden spoon, then continue to stir until dough forms, and transfer it to a well-floured counter. Knead the dough for about 5 to 7 minutes until smooth, elastic, and no longer sticky, then spray an instant pot liner with oil, transfer the dough to the bowl, and roll it over until well coated with the oil. Place the liner in the instant pot, then put it in the yogurt setting, and let it rise for about 45 to 75 minutes or 60 to 90 minutes if only placed in a warm temperature area until double in size.

Step 3

In a small bowl, add the melted butter, cream cheese, and minced garlic, then stir them together until well combined, season it with ranch powder or a mixture of Italian herbs and crushed red pepper flakes, and add in some salt and pepper to taste as well. Continue to stir until incorporated and dissolved, then knead the dough a bit before cutting it in half, place the dough in a bowl, and set it aside in the fridge for about 8 to 12 hours or overnight. Once ready, knead the dough, then gently roll and shape until about ¼ inch thick, and place half the part of it on a well-buttered baking sheet.

Step 4

Spread the creamy garlic butter all over the dough, then top it generously with all kinds of cheese that you have, and fold the other half of the dough over. Cut it into sticks as shown in the video, then add more cheese on top, and sprinkle some Italian seasoning over it to taste. Place it in a preheated oven at 375°F, then allow it to bake for about 25 minutes or until the cheese has melted and bubbling, and then garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve and enjoy!
