Every birthday, gathering, party, or holiday that I’m hosting, my family and friends would always look forward to my cooking and I’m glad that each time, I manage to impress and satisfy them with every dish served at the table. One of their all-time favorites is the glazed ham that I served which is actually pretty simple to make than I originally thought, and if you also want to learn the recipe that I used, then watch this video tutorial by Smokin’ & Grillin with AB on YouTube.

Ingredients:

  • 20 ounces of canned pineapple slices, reserve the juice
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ tsp of ground cloves
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp of water
  • 10 to 12 pounds of fully-cooked ham
  • Maraschino cherries

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F, then place a saucepan on a stove over low heat, and add the pineapple juice along with the ground cloves and cinnamon. Give them a good stir to combine and dissolve, then add the brown sugar and honey while stirring consistently. In a small mixing bowl or cup, mix together the cornstarch and water until uniform and incorporated, then add it to the mixture in the saucepan, and continue to stir them until incorporated and combined.

Step 2

Line a deep tray or pan with foil making sure to allow excess hanging around the sides, then place a fully cooked ham at the center, and place the pineapple slices all over the ham holding it in place with a toothpick. Place the cherry in the center of each pineapple slice, then hold them in place with toothpicks, and brush the syrup all over them until nicely covered.

Step 3

Fold the foil over the ham, then pinch the ends to seal, and place it in the preheated oven. Allow it to bake for about 25 minutes, then remove it from the oven, and brush it with the remaining syrup. Put it back in the oven, then let it cook for an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes, and then once done cooking, transfer it to a serving dish or casserole including the drippings. Serve and enjoy!
