Ingredients:

  • 7 pieces of peach
  • 2 cans (29 ounces each) of peach halves
  • 2 (64 fluid ounces or 2 quarts each) Welch’s white grape peach
  • 2 (approx. 6 ounces each) Looza peach juice drink
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • Everclear 95% grain alcohol
  • Ensign red peach flavor
  • Captain Morgan spiced rum
  • Ground cinnamon

What you’ll need

  • Cheesecloth
  • Canning jars

Directions:

Step 1

Wash the peaches well, then cut them deep all around in a criss-cross pattern, but don’t cut all the way through and keep them intact, set them aside while they drain off excess water. In a large pot, add the canned peach halves, then mash them well before pouring in Welch’s white grape peach and Looza peach juice, add the peach fruits and cinnamon sticks. Place the pot on a stove over medium-high heat, then let it simmer for about 1 hour while covered with the lid. Make sure to stir the mixture around every now and then, once the mixture is cooked and the peach fruits are soft and breaking apart, remove them from heat.

Step 2

Place a large strainer on top of a large pot, then pour the mixture to strain all the juices, then remove the cinnamon sticks, and start mashing the peaches, make sure to press them as well to drain any leftover juices. Next, line a strainer with cheesecloth on top of another large pot, then pour the juice and strain it again, and remove the cheesecloth as well as the strainer. Pour about 3 cups of grain alcohol, and 2 cups of spiced rum, then stir them together to combine, pour 2 cups of Ensign red peach flavor, and stir again until well combined and incorporated. Scoop the mixture and transfer to the canning jars, then sprinkle the top with some ground cinnamon, and close the lid.
