Ingredients for Old-Fashioned Pea Salad:

  • 24oz of frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/3 cup of red onion, diced
  • 2 stalks of celery, diced
  • boiled eggs, diced
  • 1½ cups of shredded cheese
  • 6 pieces of cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1½ cups of mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • ½ tsp of pepper

Step 1

Boil the eggs and cook the bacon, then dice them, and set them aside. Put the frozen peas in a colander, then run them under cold water, and rinse them off until completely defrosted.

Step 2

Make sure to shake off any water, then transfer the peas into a large mixing bowl, and add in the diced onion, celery, shredded cheese, diced eggs, and bacon.

Step 3

Give them a good mix until evenly combined, then add the mayonnaise, and season them with salt and pepper. You can serve this immediately or let it chill in the fridge for a few hours, then serve, and enjoy!
