Do you remember eating this delicious pie during your childhood? Now, you can make it in the comfort of your home! This recipe by Hands That Cook on YouTube is old-fashioned and has been passed down, so guaranteed that this will be as delicious as you remember it back in the day. You better give this yummy treat a try and see it for yourself.
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the melted butter and sugar, and sift the cocoa, then beat them together with a hand mixer until well combined, add the eggs, and continue to beat them until incorporated. Next, add the vanilla extract and evaporated milk, then beat them well until fully combined, and pour it into the prepared unbaked pie shell. Put in the preheated oven, then let it bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes before reducing the heat temperature to 350 degrees.

Step 2
After 10 minutes, continue to bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes depending on your oven. Check the pie once it has reached 25 minutes in the oven, it will still shake but it is done, remove it from the oven, then grate the chocolate over the hot pie while it’s still fresh from the oven, and then let it cool completely or you can put it in the fridge to cool faster. After totally cooling down, serve it with some whipped cream, and enjoy!
