This delicious candy has been passed down to generations and is proven tasty, it’s the perfect treat to serve for parties, gatherings, or to give as a gift. This is one of my favorite go-to recipes because it’s very simple and easy to make, and only requires 5 ingredients that I usually have available in the kitchen.

Ingredients for Pecan Candy:

  • 1/3 stick of butter
  • 2 cans of evaporated milk
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1½ cups of sugar
  • ½ tbsp of pure vanilla

Add the milk and sugar to a a heavy-bottom pot, then place it on a stove, and bring it to a boil don’t cook it too fast or it will scorch so adjust the heat. Once the milk starts to rise, drop in the butter and add the vanilla, then stir them continuously until combined and dissolved, and turn the heat down just a bit to prevent it from cooking too fast. Keep stirring and cook for a total of 45 minutes to 1 hour or until thickened, and make sure to stir consistently so it doesn’t burn at the bottom.
