Egg Wash
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the milk, egg, sugar, and salt, then whisk them together until the sugar and salt have dissolved. Add the all-purpose flour and instant yeast, then fold them together until the dough starts to form before adding the butter, and then fold them once more until the butter is well distributed and absorbed. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it inside the refrigerator to chill for at least 90 minutes or up to overnight. Sprinkle some flour over the dough, then degas, and transfer to a lightly floured counter.

Step 2
Flatten the dough lightly then cut it into 12 pieces evenly, and roll each one into a ball. Cover it with plastic or cloth, then set it aside, and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Flatten each dough ball using the heel of your palm as shown in the video, then roll it into a log, and place them in an 8×12-inch baking dish or any pan available. Cover it with plastic or cloth, then let it rest for about 30 minutes until double in size, and brush them all over with egg wash. Put them in a preheated oven, then let them bake at 180°C or 350°F for about 20 to 25 minutes, and brush the top with melted butter. Serve and enjoy!
