Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup butter

Directions:

Step 1

In a bowl, add 1 cup of warm milk, 1 egg, 3 tbsp sugar, and 1 tsp salt. Whisk until sugar and salt dissolve. After this, add 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 2 tsp instant yeast. Mix well until dough consistency. Next, add and mix in 1/4 cup of unsalted butter. Mix well until the butter is fully absorbed. Cover it with saran wrap. After this, chill in the refrigerator overnight or if baking the same day, chill it for ninety minutes.

Step 2

The next day, get the dough out of the refrigerator and sprinkle some flour, and transfer it to a lightly floured counter. Flatten it slightly, then divide the dough into twelve pieces. Round each dough piece into a ball on your palm. Cover them and let them rest for ten minutes. Next, flatten each dough ball using the heel of your palm. Roll it like a log. After this, place them in any baking dish that is available to you. Cover them for thirty minutes or until they doubled in size. After thirty minutes, brush the dough with egg wash (1 egg + 2 tbsp milk.) Place in a preheated oven of 350 degrees F and bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes. After baking, brush it with melted butter.
