Step 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolks, then add the yolks to a medium-sized saucepan followed by the sugar, and then whisk them together until well combined and fluffy. Pour 1 cup of milk into the mixture, then whisk them again to incorporate, and place the saucepan on a stove over medium-high heat. Let the milk warm up while stirring consistently, then remove it from the heat, and let it cool down. In a small cup or mixing bowl, add the agar-agar and remaining milk, then give them a good stir until dissolved and incorporated, and pour it into the cooled milk mixture in the saucepan.

Step 2
Put it back to the heat, then let it bring to a boil while whisking continuously, and once thickened, remove it from the heat and the stove. Transfer the mixture to a clean bowl, then add the sour cream or whipped cream, and whisk them together to combine. Line a loaf pan with an acetate sheet for baking or use a clean milk carton with the top cut off, then pour the mixture into the mold you’re using, and put it inside the refrigerator to set for at least 3 hours. Once set, flip it upside down on a plate to unmold, then remove the plastic sheet, and dust it with cookie crumbs. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
