Ingredients:

Apple and biscuit mixture

  • 1 cup of biscuits
  • 2 pieces of apple
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • ¼ tsp of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp of chopped walnuts

Cream mixture

  • 1 piece of apple
  • 2 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • A pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tbsp of cornstarch

Toppings

  • Chopped walnut
  • Desiccated coconut

Directions:

Step 1

Break the biscuits into smaller pieces and put them in a large mixing bowl, then peel and wash 2 pieces of apples before grating them. Place a deep and large pan on a stove over medium heat, then transfer the grated apple to it, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter. Mix them all together and let them cook for about 12 to 13 minutes or until the apples are softened. Add the apple mixture into the bowl of biscuits, then add 2 tablespoons of chopped walnut, and give them a good mix. Transfer the apple mixture into a casserole or baking dish, then press it down until nice and even, and then set it aside. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and milk until uniform, then set it aside.

Step 2

Peel 1 apple and slice it into cubes, place a deep pan on a stove over medium heat, then melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, and then add the sliced apple. Saute it for about 10 to 15 seconds, then add 2 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of cinnamon powder, give them a good mix and cook over medium heat for about 8 to 10 minutes or until the apples are softened and their juices evaporate. Scoop out some of the apples and reserve them for later, grab the milk mixture and give it a good stir before adding it to the apples. Cook them over medium heat while stirring continuously. Add a tablespoon of sugar and stir constantly until it thickens, transfer the milk mixture on top of the biscuits on the dish, and wiggle around to even out the top. Add the reserved apples on top, and sprinkle some chopped walnuts and the desiccated coconut. Let it cool completely in the fridge for at least 3 hours up to overnight before serving.
