This video tutorial by Structure Tech Home Inspections on YouTube will show you a quick and easy way to clean your moldy caulk using simple cleaning supplies that you may already have available in your home. Now, you can say goodbye to dirty caulk and hello to a shiny and sparkling clean one!
Step 1
Grab a clean mixing bowl, then add some baking soda and bleach, and give them a good stir until completely combined. Keep adding bleach or baking soda to adjust the mixture until desired consistency is reached. Take your brush, then use it to apply the mixture generously on the caulk, and then cover it with plastic nicely.
Step 2
Allow it to sit for 1 hour or more, then add some bleach on a sprayer, and spray it on the wall or tiles letting the liquid drip down to saturate the cleaner on the caulk. Leave it for another 1 hour and keep repeating this step as needed, then give it a good scrub, and rinse well.
