This is also great to serve for your guests along with an equally delicious drink, and they’ll love it for sure. Learn how to make this now with only a few simple ingredients that most of you might already have available in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

Dough

  • 250g or 1¾ cups of bread flour
  • 4g or 1 tsp of instant yeast
  • 175g or ¾ cup of warm milk
  • 30g or ¼ cup of sugar
  • 30g or 2 tbsp of softened butter
  • 3g or ½ tsp of salt

Eggwash

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk

Toppings

  • Butter
  • Sugar

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and instant yeast, then stir them together to combine, and push them to the sides to make a space at the center. Pour the warm milk, then add the sugar and salt, and mix them together until well combined and a dough forms. Start kneading the dough, then add the butter, and continue to knead for about 10 to 15 minutes. Shape the dough into a small ball, then transfer it to a greased bowl, and cover it with plastic wrap and a cloth on top. Set it aside, then allow it to rise at room temperature for about 1 hour, and then punch to degas the dough. Transfer the dough to your work surface, then shape it into a square, and divide it into 3 equally.

Step 2

Fold it over and roll it as shown in the video, then cut it into 10 small pieces evenly, and you’ll end up with 30 pieces. Shape each into a small ball, then transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and make a cross cut at the center using scissors. Place a small piece of butter at the center of each dough ball pressing it nicely, then cover them with plastic, and allow to rest for about 30 more minutes. Let your oven preheat to 175°C or 347°F for about 10 to 15 minutes, then once the dough balls are ready, brush the top with egg wash until fully coated, and sprinkle some sugar all over the top. Allow them to bake for about 18 to 20 minutes, then serve, and enjoy!
