Step 1
Cut the 2 fabrics and 2 cotton batting into squares at 10 inches, then lay 1 fabric square on top of a batting square with their edges lined up, and pin them in place. Do the same for the other fabric and batting, then using a cotton thread, sew them diagonally from corner to corner on each side to make an “X”, and remove the pins.
Step 2
Fold the pieces in half with their right sides facing, then pin them together, and mark 1 inch from the fold and 2 inches from the top. Connect those marks with a line, then stitch over the line, and repeat the same to the bottom.

Step 3
Trim off the excess, unfold the piece, and fold it the opposite way. Make sure to pin them together, then repeat marking the corners, stitch, and trim the excess. Remove the pin, open the fabric, and repeat the same steps to the other piece.
Step 4
Lay the 2 together with their right sides facing, then pin the seams together, and start stitching all around the edges making sure to leave an opening. Trim the corners, turn the piece right side out, poke the corners, and stitch around the edges about 1/8 inch away from the bottom edge.
