Maple syrup is delicious and is probably my favorite to pair with any baked goods or use as an ingredient in any recipe. One of them is this one by Cooking with Shirani on YouTube, it’s very easy to prepare and is so good that one piece won’t be enough, surely your family will thank you when you serve this to them. You can also serve this at the next party you are hosting or give it as a gift to a loved one.
Pumpkin Donuts
Maple Glaze
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the yellow cake mix and pumpkin puree, then fold them together until completely combined and incorporated, and transfer the mixture to a Ziploc or piping bag. Grease a donut mold with nonstick cooking spray, then squeeze the pumpkin batter evenly into each donut mold, and place it in the preheated oven at 350°F. Allow the donuts to bake for about 16 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean.

Step 2
Place a saucepan on a stove over medium heat, then add the butter and sugar, and whisk them constantly for about 2 minutes until melted and combined. Add the milk, then continue to heat them through for another 2 minutes making sure to keep on whisking, and turn off the heat. Add the maple syrup, maple extract, and powdered sugar one at a time making sure to whisk them well in between each addition. Mix them until there are no more lumps, then dip the donuts into the glaze, and let them set for a bit. Serve and enjoy!
