Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of pure maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp of butter
  • 1 cup of heavy cream

Directions:

Step 1

Grease a square baking dish with nonstick spray, then line it with parchment paper, and set aside. Place a medium-sized pot or saucepan on a stove over high heat, then add the maple syrup and butter, and bring it to a boil for about 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream mixing them together until well combined, then attach a candy thermometer to the side of the pot, and let the mixture cook over medium-high heat until it reaches 245°F.

Step 2

Remove the pot from the stove, then turn off the heat, and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Next, beat the mixture using a whisk for about 5 minutes until it starts to thicken, then pour it into the prepared baking dish, and allow it to cool completely. Once cool, slice the candy into 16 squares, then serve, and enjoy!
