Flour Mixture
Sauce
Step 1
Place a skillet on a stove over medium to medium-high heat, then add the honey, hot sauce, and butter, and stir until the butter has melted. Add the lemon pepper seasoning, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning, then whisk them continuously to combine, and lower the heat to low or medium-low.
Step 2
Let it simmer for a minute or so, then turn off the heat, and pour the sauce into a measuring cup before setting it aside. Prepare and clean the shrimp, then place them in a large bowl, and season them with salt and pepper evenly. In a separate bowl, add the cornstarch, lemon pepper seasoning, and Old Bay seasoning, then give them a good whisk, and transfer it to a Ziploc bag or Tupperware with a lid.
Step 3
Add the seasoned shrimp, then seal the Ziploc bag or Tupperware, and give it a good shake until well coated. Preheat your oil to 350°F, then drop the shrimp one at a time, then cook them in batches to not overcrowd the pan, and fry them for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
Step 4
Scoop them out with a slotted spoon, then transfer them to a wire rack or plate lined with a paper towel to drain off the excess oil. Transfer them to a large bowl, then drizzle the sauce, and gently toss them to coat. Garnish with lemon zest and chopped green onions, then serve, and enjoy!
