Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup full cream milk
  • salt and pepper (to taste)

Directions:

Step 1

Peel off the potatoes then cut them into medium chunks. Add the chopped potatoes to a pot with water. Add 1 tsp of salt and bring them to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are fork-tender. After boiling, drain the potatoes. Transfer to a saucepan over low heat. Stir them for about two to three minutes to release any excess moisture.

Step 2

After this, transfer the potatoes to a fine-mesh sieve, then gently mashed them. By mashing it through a sieve, the texture will be softer and silkier. Next, transfer the mashed potato to a bowl and gently add 1/2 cup melted butter while mixing. Lastly, add 1/2 cup warm full cream milk. Mix the mashed potato well and season it with salt.
