  • 1 pie crust, homemade or store-bought
  • ½ cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • ½ cup of all-purpose flour
  • eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup of chopped pecans
  • ¾ cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp of all-purpose flour, to coat the pecans and chocolate

Directions:

Step 1

Place the pie crust on a pie dish and set it aside, then add in the extra flour on the pecans and chocolate chips, and give them a good toss until evenly coated. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the melted butter, sugar, flour, slightly beaten eggs, and vanilla extract, then beat them all together until the sugar has dissolved and they are all well combined, and then stop and scrape the sides of the bowl.

Step 2

Add the flour-coated nuts and chocolate chips, then give them a few pulses just until combined, then scrape the paddle nice and clean, and transfer the batter into the prepared pie crust. Spread it evenly, then place a pie crust shield or aluminum foil around the edges of the pie to prevent it from getting burnt, and place the pie in the preheated oven. Allow it to bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes or until nice and brown, then let it cool completely, and serve. Enjoy!
