I’ve always loved stained glass quilt projects and similar crafts, and I have made a couple of them that I’ve used to decorate my home and garden. I just adore putting things together that most would otherwise think are broken or beyond saving, such as broken plates that you can turn into stepping stones!

So when I saw this quilt tutorial by The Quilting Compound on YouTube, I just knew that this was a project I would enjoy making. After finishing the whole quilt, I was simply in awe by how it looked and it has easily become one of my favorite quilt projects ever!
Step 1
Stack the fabric squares together with their right sides facing up, then cut them in half slanted as demonstrated in the video, and mix and match the stacks.
Step 2
Get one half of the fabric, then lay a black strip to its diagonal side, and stitch them together. Press the seams toward the darker fabric, then stitch the contrasting half of the fabric to the other side of the strip, and give them a good press.
Step 3
Do the same thing for the rest of the fabrics, then keep repeating the cutting, mixing, matching, and stitching the pieces together until you are content with the look of the stained glass quilt, you can also cut the block diagonally however you want.
