Do you have a large hole in your jeans that needs repairing or do you think it’s beyond saving and you’re considering throwing it away? Well, before you do anything else, make sure to watch this video tutorial by Learning a craft on YouTube first, and you’ll surely be surprised! This super easy sewing method lets you repair your torn jeans with only simple steps and materials in just a few minutes. Plus, the repaired area is almost invisible which will make it difficult to see and will also make it seem as if there was no hole in there at all.
First, mark around the torn part of the jeans with a chalk, then get another piece of denim making sure it’s the same color as the jeans, and cut it to size. Using a polyester thread that is also the same color as the jeans, sew the piece of denim to the jeans and around the torn area making sure to fold the edges in first.
Trim off the excess as you go, then once done, turn the jeans inside out, and start trimming off the excess denim poking out. Leave only a bit of seam allowance from the stitching, then snip the seam allowance to make notches, and start pressing them open and flat. Cut a piece of fusible webbing, then press it on top of the patched area, and trim off the excess.
