#1: Keeping Rodents Away
Irish spring soap is a great solution to keeping rats and mice away and preventing them from chopping your plants, it helps make your soil more fertile. To do this hack, first, you have to cut the soap into small chunks or grate it instead, and then place the pieces in a mesh bag or old tights, and hang them near your garden plants or around your garden perimeters. The strong scent of the soap will help deter pests, so if you know specifically where they pass through, then you can place the soap chunks directly in that area.

#2: Prevent Deer From Eating Your Plants
Iring spring soap doesn’t only repel small animals but larger ones, too, this can help drive away a deer that might be trying to eat away your plants. All you have to do is hang Irish spring soap bars on your garden fences or stakes around your plants. You can also use a twine or wire to suspend them at the deer’s height, this will create a barrier of scent that discourages deer from venturing too close so you can keep them far away from your plants.
#3: Repel Insects in a Non-Harmful Way
Sometimes there are creepy crawlers that can ruin your flowers or plants, and the best way to protect them without being harmful is by using Irish spring soap. Simply rub a bar of soap on the lower leaves and stems of your plants, it will act as a protective barrier against crawling insects, just make sure to reapply after the rain to maintain effectiveness. You can also make a spray to protect your plants, simply mix some small chunks of soap and water in a spray bottle, then lightly spray the leaves of the plant. This will help deter aphids or other pests while not harming your plants.
