Ingredients:

Meatballs

  • 1½ pounds of ground meat of your choice
  • 1/3 cup of whole milk
  • 1/3 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 3 cloves or 1 tbsp of garlic, crushed or minced
  • 2 tbsp of dried parsley flakes
  • 1½ tsp of seasoned salt
  • 1½ tsp of onion powder
  • ½ tsp of white pepper, optional
  • ¼ tsp of black pepper
  • ¼ tsp of allspice
  • 2 cups of beef broth

Gravy

  • 5 tbsp of salted butter
  • ½ cup of heavy cream
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet of beef gravy or au jus mix
  • 1 tsp-1tbsp of Dijon mustard, optional
  • 2 tbsp of cornstarch + 2 tbsp of water (slurry)

For Serving

  • Wide ribbon egg noodles
  • Rice
  • Steamed vegetables

Directions:

Step 1: Meatballs

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the ground meat, whole milk, bread crumbs, egg, crushed garlic, and dried parsley flakes, then season them with seasoned salt, onion powder, white pepper, black pepper, and allspice, and then mix them all together using clean hands until well combined.
  • Pinch some meat, then roll it into a ping-pong-sized ball, then place it in a plate or tray, and continue to shape the rest of the meat mixture until you have around 24 to 36 meatballs. Pour the broth into your Instant Pot, then place a trivet or steamer basket inside, and gently place the meatballs in it one by one.
  • Secure the lid, then move the valve to the sealing position, and press the Manual or Pressure Cook button. Allow the meatballs to cook for about 10 minutes, then let a 5-minute natural release, and then a quick release. Remove them from the pot and set them aside for later.

Step 2: Gravy

  • Press the Cancel button of the pot, then hit Saute, and adjust to the More or High setting. In the pot, add the salted butter, heavy cream, beef gravy, and Dijon mustard, then allow the butter to melt, and give them a good stir.
  • Mix together the cornstarch and water until combined and uniform, then add it to the pot, and stir them together to incorporate. The sauce will thicken immediately so press Cancel, then put the cooked meatballs back into the pot, and stir them together to combine them with the sauce.

Step 3: Serving

  • While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the wide ribbon egg noodles, rice, or steamed vegetables, then once everything is cooked and ready, serve them in a bowl with the noodles, rice, or veggies at the bottom. Top them with meatballs, then drizzle the gravy all over the top, and serve. Enjoy!
