Wet Batter
Seasoning Blend
Hot Honey Sauce
Step 1
In a large bowl, add the flour, seasoning blend, hot sauce, and egg, then pour in the club soda, and whisk them continuously until smooth and combined. Add the cleaned shrimp to the batter, then mix them until evenly coated, drop them into the flour in a Tupperware one at a time making sure to shake off the excess batter. Work with them in batches, then close the Tupperware with the lid, and shake it until the shrimps are well coated.
Step 2
Set them aside on a plate, then do the same steps to the rest of the shrimp, and then preheat the oil to 350°F. Drop the coated shrimps in the hot oil in batches, then deep fry them for about 5 to 6 minutes or until nice and golden brown, and set them aside on a plate lined with a paper towel or a wire rack over a baking sheet to drain off the excess oil.
Step 3
Place a small saucepan on a stove over medium heat, then add the butter and let it melt, then add the hot sauce, and give them a good stir until well mixed. Add the honey, then keep stirring until incorporated, and let it simmer. Turn off the heat, then toss the fried shrimp with the sauce in a large bowl or drizzle the sauce over the shrimp, and garnish it with freshly chopped parsley. Serve and enjoy!
