Usually, on the way to work, I would get my daily dose of hot chocolate by ordering it in my favorite cafe, but for those days when I don’t want to go outside and am craving that tasty drink, I would then opt to make it at home. You might think that this recipe by The Magical Slow Cooker on YouTube is difficult to make but you would be surprised by how easy it actually is and what’s even better is that you can make it in your crockpot!
Step 1
In a crockpot, add the heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, milk, dark chocolate chips, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt.
Step 2
Whisk everything together until well combined, then put the lid on the crockpot, and let the mixture cook on a high setting for 1 hour or on a low setting for about 2 hours.
Step 3
Stir the hot chocolate occasionally until completely melted and heated through, then ladle the mixture into mugs or cups, and serve top with marshmallows. Enjoy!
