Making your favorite cold treat at home is super easy! Here’s a homemade vanilla ice cream recipe by N’Oven – Cake & Cookies that only requires 5 simple ingredients. You don’t need an ice cream machine for this, so you can make it at home with just your hand mixer. I love preparing this on weekends, so I can eat it whenever I want a dessert on weekdays. I garnish it with freshly sliced fruits and drizzle chocolate on top. It’s so good, you should try it!

In a large pan, add 1 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of sugar. Place it over low heat. Stir it often until it thickens and the sugar has melted. Now you have homemade condensed milk. Remove it from heat.
In a large bowl, add 1/2 cup of whipping cream and beat until stiff peaks.
Add the homemade condensed milk and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract to whipped cream. Mix using a spatula until well incorporated. Divide the cream in half into two different bowls.
In one half, add 2 to 3 drops of pink food color or any color you prefer. Mix until it’s well incorporated.
Pour the white cream layer into your container, spread it evenly, then add a pink layer on top. Repeat the process until you fill the container. Using a stick or knife, mix the layers in a swirling motion. After that, flatten the top using a spoon or spatula. Cover it with the lid and place it in your freezer for a minimum of six hours or overnight.
Scoop the ice cream into your bowl or glass and serve with sliced fruits, chocolate, or nuts. Enjoy!
