Image credit: Easy Homemade KFC Style Coleslaw Recipe
If you love KFC’s coleslaw, then this copycat recipe by Simply Mamá Cooks on YouTube will surely excite you. This definitely tastes as good as the original and you can serve this on the side of some fried chicken. I always make this whenever I’m craving KFC but don’t want or can’t go all the way there, I just eat it at home, and I found it more convenient that way and cheaper, too! You should definitely give this a try as well, trust me, you won’t regret it.

Chop the cabbage into thin slices and shreds, then transfer them to a large mixing bowl, shred the onion in a small bowl, and set them aside. In a separate large mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, milk, buttermilk, sugar, grated onion, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste, and lemon juice, then whisk them all together until well combined and uniform and then pour the mixture over the shredded veggies. Give them a good toss until well coated and combined, then close the lid, and place the coleslaw inside the refrigerator. Allow it to sit for at least 12 hours but you can also let them chill overnight for best results. Serve when ready and enjoy!
