Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of butter, melted
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract
  • 1 unbaked (9-inch) deep dish pie crust or 2 unbaked (9-inch) shallow pie crusts

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F, then prepare the pie shell in a pie dish, and set it aside for later. In the bowl of a stand mixer or a large mixing bowl, add the butter and sugar, then beat them together over medium speed for a few minutes or until the sugar has incorporated into the butter, and then pour in the heavy whipping cream. Continue to mix them together for about 2 minutes but increase the speed to a high setting this time, mix until creamy and slightly thickened.

Step 2

Once light and fluffy, add the beaten eggs followed by the flour and vanilla extract. Continue to mix them together until well combined, then pour the batter into the prepared pie crust, and cover the edges of the crust with aluminum foil or a pie shield. Place the pie in the preheated oven, then allow it to bake for about 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and no longer jiggly in the center. Once done baking, let it cool down completely, then serve, and enjoy!
