I was so excited to find this awesome video tutorial by CNet, on YouTube, that described how to freeze food safely and will stop the air that gets into the bags that will eventually cause freezer burn. Also, this method will help efficiently for a quick and even thaw. The biggest enemies of frozen food storage are time air and time because the longer it takes to freeze or defrost something, the food can suffer cell damage that will make it not taste as good. Every time I try to buy meat and freeze it for later, whatever method I use, my meat will get freezer burned and has no flavor. This method can save your investment from that fate because it freezes quickly, thaws quickly, and has no air inside, which is the real culprit behind food damage.
In this awesome video tutorial by CNet, on YouTube, you will learn to seal your foods that are going into the freezer almost as good as a vacuum freezer machine. You will begin by placing your food in the freezer bags, leaving about an inch or so of unsealed zip tape at the top.
Then, you will dunk the bag in the water and the pressure of the water will force the air out naturally.
