Making this grilled shrimp is super easy. First, prepare the shrimp by peeling the skin and deveining each piece. Once they are ready, coat them with olive oil and lemon juice to help the seasonings stick to the skin. Next, add the seasonings, and they are ready to be grilled. How easy is that? Add the shrimp in a large mixing bowl, followed by the olive oil and lemon juice. Mix until well-coated.
Season the shrimp with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss everything to coat. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and refrigerate while preheating the grill. If you are going to use wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10 minutes before adding the shrimp.
Preheat your grill to high heat until it reaches 500F.
You can thread the shrimp onto skewers to cook, or you can place them directly on your grill. Make sure your shrimp won’t fall through the grates if you are not using wooden skewers.
