Ingredients:
- 8 to 10 pieces of thick-cut bacon
- 1 pound of red potatoes
- 1.5 to 2 pounds of fresh green beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp of low-sodium chicken base
- 1 tbsp of garlic paste or minced garlic
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- All-purpose seasoning
- Smoked paprika
- 2 to 3 tbsp of butter
Directions:
Step 1
Chop the onions, then cut the potatoes into quarters, and rinse the veggies well if needed. Place a Dutch oven on a stove over low heat, then add the chopped bacon, and cook them until they start to render fat.
Step 2
Turn the heat to medium and continue cooking until nice and crispy, then add the chopped onions, give them a good stir, and saute until softened. Add the garlic, then stir to combine, add the chicken base, and keep stirring until well mixed.

Pour in the broth, then add the green beans, cover the pot with the lid, and cook them for about 15 minutes. Stir and turn everything over, then season them with paprika and all-purpose seasoning, and stir them until combined.
Step 4
Add the cut potatoes, then mix, and continue to bring it to a rolling boil for about 15 minutes or until fork tender. Once cooked, add the butter, then cover, and continue to cook until the butter has melted. Give it a final mix, then serve, and enjoy!
