Dough
Apples
Glaze
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast, then whisk them until well combined, and then add the milk, eggs, and butter. Continue mixing until a dough is formed, then knead, slap, and fold for about 3 to 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 2
Cover the bowl and set it aside to proof for about 40 minutes, then while waiting prepare the apples. Place a pan on a stove over medium heat, then add the butter, sugar, cinnamon powder, salt, vanilla, lemon juice, and diced apples, give them a good toss, and half cook for about 3 minutes.
Step 3
Turn off the heat and set the apples aside to cool completely. Lightly flour the counter, then transfer the dough, and roll it into a square. Place the apple filling on the dough and fold until homogenous, then roll out the dough, and divide it into 6 large or 12 medium pieces evenly.
Step 4
Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then allow them to rest for about 20 minutes, and deed fry them over medium heat for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Step 5
Transfer them on a wire rack to drain off the excess oil and cool down a bit, then mix the ingredients for the glaze in a bowl, and dip the apple fritters in it. Let the rest until the glaze has set, then serve, and enjoy!
