White fabric, for the background
Red fabric, for the bow
Light red fabric, for the ribbon
Pink fabric, for the gift box
Step 1: Sewing the bow unit
Get the number 5 pieces, then a diagonal line from corner to corner, and place one at the bottom corner of the number 2 piece lining up the edges nicely and making sure that the lines are both ending towards the outside of the fabric. Sew it in place with a ¼ inch seam allowance, then trim off about ¼ inch from the stitching line, and press open. Next, place the other number 5 piece at the bottom and opposite corner making sure to line the edges nicely and the lines are both ending towards the outside of the fabric, then sew in place, trim off the excess, and press open.

Step 2: Sewing the gift box
Take the number 8 pieces, then assemble them by placing a number 1 piece in between 2 number 8 pieces, and then sew them together. After sewing them into rows, sew the 2 rows together with a number 7 piece in between the rows, then press them open, and you should end up with a box with a ribbon across. Sew the number 4 piece at the bottom of the gift box, then sew the number 3 pieces on each side of the gift box, and the bow unit at the top. Give the block a nice press and you’re done!
