These pecan pie bars are the perfect treat to munch on after a savory and heavy meal or serve them for snack time, a party, or any occasion that you’re celebrating. Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F, then spread the pecans in a single layer in a baking pan, and put them in the oven to bake for about 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly toasted making sure to stir halfway through the cooking time. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with aluminum foil for overhang on the sides, and grease them well.
Step 2
In a large bowl, add the flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa, then give them a good whisk, add the cold butter, and combine them using a pastry blender until coarse. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, then press them down onto the bottom and a bit upward on the sides.

Step 3
Put it in the oven, then let it bake for about 15 minutes, remove it from the oven, and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips all over the crust evenly. Allow it to cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes, then while waiting for it to cool, grab another large mixing bowl, and add the eggs beating them lightly.
Step 4
Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, and melted butter, then whisk everything together until smooth and combined, add the coconut and pecans, and continue to mix until evenly incorporated. Pour it evenly on the cooled crust, then put it back in the oven, and allow it to bake for about 28 to 34 minutes or until the edges are brown and the filling has set.
Step 5
Once done baking, transfer the pan to a cooling rack, then allow the pie to cool down completely, and transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour. After an hour, lift the pie out of the pan using the overhang on the sides, then place the pie on a cutting board, and start cutting it into bars. Serve and enjoy!
